About Our Logo:
Our logo is a visual representation of who we are at Phillips Tabernacle P.B. Church, "The Church on the Hill that keeps it R.E.A.L." It embodies our history, our present mission, and our vision for the future.
The Lantern: The Lantern with the cross symbolizes God’s guidance through His word. The word, like a lantern, enlightens us even in the darkest situations. We use God’s word to order our footsteps, guide our paths, and be RELATABLE to others (Psalms 119:105).
The Water: On the right side of the logo, you'll notice green water. Water symbolizes spiritual cleansing, baptism, and a renewed life in Christ. The water reminds us that we have hope in Christ and this should be ENCOURAGING to us and others. No matter our past, If we confess our past sins, God is faithful and just to cleanse us of all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
The Rays: Above the water, you'll see rays of light. The color gold is often associated with heaven, divinity, and the kingship of Jesus Christ. These rays of light remind us of our call to righteousness. They embody our commitment to being ACCOUNTABLE for our actions, so like light, our righteousness brings attention to the glory of God (Matthew 5:16).
The Unifying Cross: The water and stripes are connected by a cross that goes from the top to the bottom of the circle. The cross reminds us of the perfect love displayed by our Lord, that while we were sinners and enemies, He (Jesus) died for us ALL. Because Christ is our perfect example, we have a call to be LOVING to one another (John 13:35).
Together, these elements create a logo that speaks to our core values and our dedication to keeping it REAL – Relatable, Encouraging, Accountable, and Loving – in all that we do.
